Unapologetically Blessed Teen Center Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to being a vital resource for our community. We believe that every individual has a dream, and our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where those dreams can flourish and become reality.
In response to the ongoing challenges of trauma, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, and criminalization that disproportionately affect communities of color, Unapologetically Blessed Teen Center recognizes the pervasive impact of trauma on our youth. This awareness drives our commitment to investing in our community by educating, preventing, and empowering the youth of our future through innovative programs and activities.
At Unapologetically Blessed Teen Center, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that meets the evolving needs of our youth and community. We strive to unite our community by fostering an environment that encourages the growth and development of our teens, which will positively impact their lives. We believe that our children are our future, and thus we focus on the transitional aged youth, who are the future leaders of our world. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing space for teens to explore their potential, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed.
Our vision at Unapologetically Blessed Teen Center is to be a safe haven for the adolescents in our community. We aspire to cultivate future leaders by offering a wide range of enriching activities and training opportunities—such as tutoring, athletic training, career and job preparation, mental health services, mentoring programs, and recreational activities—all at no cost. We are committed to supporting the personal growth and leadership development of our youth, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to succeed.
Brittnei Price is the Founder and Executive Director of UB Teen Center. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, Brittnei has dedicated her life to working with youth in various roles, including as a softball coach, teacher, mentor, youth leader, and school psychologist. Her passion for empowering young people stems from her belief that they are the forthcoming leaders of the next generation.
Brittnei's own journey was shaped significantly by softball, a sport she played throughout her youth, ultimately earning a scholarship to Alabama State University. Through softball, Brittnei had the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and experience a wealth of opportunities that expanded her horizons. These experiences not only enriched her personal growth but also deepened her understanding of the transformative power of supportive environments and access to opportunities.
Witnessing firsthand how such support can change lives, Brittnei recognized the pressing needs within her community’s youth. Determined to address these gaps, she founded UB Teen Center as a response to the challenges facing young people in her area. She was compelled to create a space that would offer the support, guidance, and opportunities necessary for their growth and success. Driven by this conviction, Brittnei established UB Teen Center to provide her community with the same level of support, opportunity, and encouragement that softball provided her and more. She is committed to creating a space where youth can thrive, grow, and prepare for a successful future.
